The primary initial objectives of the National Account Manager (NAM) will be to ensure coverage and reimbursement consistent with an accurate linkage of CPT code to the product pricing compendia. This will be accomplished through presenting of the value proposition and cost effectiveness analysis to Medical Directors. Ensuring accurate reimbursement will be achieved by working with Provider Relations to ensure accurate product information is loaded. Troubleshoot payer issues and maintain corporate compliance in all areas.
The NAM will also serve as ambassador to National accounts including key top multi-state IDNs, Group Purchasing Organizations, Federal, Dialysis Providers, Employee health organizations, etc. Influencers utilizing integrated resources to enhance appropriate position awareness for quality metrics, clinical outcomes and value. After launch, the NAMs will work with the field sales organization to address specific payers at the regional and local level, and in addition work directly with the practices themselves if they are experiencing reimbursement-related issue specific to the payer.
  • Bachelor s Degree required
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience and proven success in biotech/pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in reimbursement, managed care sales/marketing or related field Buy and Bill experience required
  • 3-5+ years of account management experience required
  • Previous experience as Managed Markets NAM, RAM or KAM, in preventative vaccines preferred
  • Ability/experience working directly with large practices/IDNs on payer specific issues
  • Relationships with key accounts, national payers, regional payers, and medical directors
  • Understanding of, and access to, national payers and downstream affiliates
  • Knowledge of medical benefit plan design (Commercial, Medicaid & Medicare Part B)
  • Ability to lead/coordinate local market access on reimbursement issues strong matrix management experience
  • Preventative vaccine experience highly preferred
  • Product Launch experience preferred
  • Heavy travel required ~75%
