Re cro comes from the Latin word revitalize. Recro Pharma is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on products for hospital and ambulatory care settings, currently focused on solving the opioid crisis facing the United States by changing the way pain is treated. We are dedicated to developing non-addictive, non-opioid drugs to alleviate acute pain and ensure patients can avoid many of the negative side effects associated with commonly prescribed opioid therapeutics: addiction, constipation and respiratory depression.
We offer a rich pipeline comprised of multiple unique pain product candidates that could provide an attractive alternative for the more than 50 million surgical procedures that require post-operative pain medication. Our lead product candidate is a proprietary injectable form of meloxicam. We also currently own and operate a 97,000 square foot, DEA-licensed manufacturing facility that makes five commercial products and receive royalties associated with the sales of these products. This allows us the unique opportunity to operate as a start-up with an additional source of income.
