This opportunity is with Adheris Health, an inVentiv Health company. In this role, you ll join the industry leader in education and adherence programs that help patients stay on prescribed chronic drug therapy. Working with a national network of retail pharmacies and major pharmaceutical manufacturers, we design and administer programs designed to manage chronic disease, educate patients about their condition, and increase patient s compliance with prescribed medication. The Senior Test Engineer is an individual with test automation development experience who can help both accelerate the delivery in an Agile environment and improve the quality of the application by being embedded in the product delivery team and assisting with early test automation that can be run continuously. The engineer must be capable and willing to take the TEST process from end-to-end, from functional requirements gathering to developing and executing manual and automated tests of project features, focusing on getting the right stuff automated in the right way, as quickly as possible. The Senior Test Engineer role is able to help train and mentor the existing team members for more hands-on roles with test automation.
The Senior TEST ENGINEER is responsible for designing and implementing test infrastructure, creating and enforcing good engineering practices, and evaluating product quality for Adheris Health products. The primary responsibility is to ensure that testing of new functionality is automated as quickly as possible and that the end-to-end automated regression test suite is run continuously, and is as up-to-date and thorough. More specifically:
Work closely with product owners, business analysts, managers and your product team to understand the product requirements and use cases in order to deliver high quality software on schedule for production releases.
Fully own your role as a senior TEST ENGINEER. We highly value strong TEST role ownership, and are looking for someone to not only advocate for TEST within the product team, but also evangelize the best TEST practices.
Analyze and decompose a complicated software system and design a strategy to test the system.
Quickly automate sprint work in a logical manner
Build advanced automated test suites to exercise applications.
Conduct research on emerging technologies and help implement.
Train and mentor other team members.
Help define, promote, and ensure adherence to TEST processes such as test plan reviews, defect management, risk/complexity analysis, and regression test maintenance.
Interface with 3rd parties on requirements, testing, and problem troubleshooting, as needed.
Perform tasks within area of specialization with little to no supervision.
Be responsible for following through and making sure defects are reported and escalated appropriately.
Along with demonstrated initiative, uncompromised integrity and a results-oriented mindset, the ideal candidate has:
BS degree preferred
5+ years of relevant work experience, including software development and/or test automation experience.
Intermediate Programming skills in C# or Java
A solid understanding of RESTful services
Intermediate Performance testing skills and use of industry standard tools such as Jmeter, Visual Studio, ReadyAPI, Loadrunner
Solid understanding of common TEST and SW development processes and methodologies - especially with working in an Agile environment with continuous integration/continuous delivery best practices.
Strong analytical skills in assessing user, functional, and technical requirements and documentation and identifying high risk and key test areas.
Strong problem solving and investigative skills, with the drive to get to the root of the problem.
Understanding of multi-tier web application architecture, web services and deployment.
Experience testing database driven applications including data validation using SQL.
Some level of Windows and/ or UNIX command line experience.
Test automation experience (i.e. Ranorex, Ready API, Selenium, and ReadyAPI)
Demonstrated history of working with minimal direction, balancing and prioritizing activities to ensure critical items are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Genuine enjoyment in TEST AUTOMATION work.

- Independently maintains skills through various channels, such as technical blogs, books, tutorials, and training.
- Maintains awareness of industry trends and new technologies, evaluates these for current or future applicability within the domain
- Independently takes on learning technologies in use across business domains as business needs may require.
