Corporate Account Director (CAD)

Position Summary

The CAD is a critical frontline member of the Market Access team.  These individuals will have no direct reports; however, will be expected to work interdependently with the Medical Affairs team, Regional Sales Directors and Field Based Sales Specialists.  The CAD will focus on all payer systems: Medicare fee for service, Medicare Advantage, IDN payers, regional commercial plans, and select Medicaid agencies.  Payer CADs are responsible for their assigned regional territories, including the business objectives, activity, pull-through and any other payer obstacles - all aligned in focus with corporate goals and objectives.  This is a field/remote position.


Key Responsibilities and Objectives

  • Primary owner of senior stakeholder relationships with regional payers to deliver a compelling value proposition in support of securing access for IV Meloxicam.
  • Responsible for the creation and execution of account business plans for targeted regional accounts.
  • Accountable for driving effective account planning and management processes with a cross-functional team.
  • Must excel at engaging senior medical and pharmacy management, and other payer stakeholders on both business and clinical needs.
  • Deliver high-touch customer education and support as it relates to all aspects of reimbursement for Recro products.
  • Maintain and leverage new and existing payer relationships to facilitate coverage decisions. 
  • Miscellaneous J-Code and C-Code launch experience,

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in business, management, healthcare administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in commercial payers and Medicare.
  • Proven track record of working with providers and commercial payers to provide reimbursement support and resolve reimbursement issues.
  • Ability to travel up to 65% and possesses a strong orientation to customer service and teamwork.
  • Experience working with new medical technologies in the medical device, biologic, or pharmaceutical arena.
  • Experience facilitating live training and in-service education (presentation skills).
  • Comprehensive knowledge and prior experience working with both government payers (Medicare Administrative Contractors and FFS Medicaid) and regional commercial payers to help resolve complex reimbursement issues.
  • Keep up to date on information relating to market developments, competitors, and changing customer requirements.
  • Ability to target and approach medical directors within various payers to present a clinical story for IV Meloxicam.
