The Content Manager will:

  • Lead content strategy development, creation and execution of BioLife Brand Marketing campaigns
  • Work with a cross-functional team to create compelling content and user experiences that attack prospective donors and deepen existing donor engagement
  • Create and optimize content across marketing ecosystem including: social media, SEO, CRM, video, print, in-center collateral, etc
  • Act as keeper of the flame for BioLife Marketing Brand Values, Mission and Guidelines
  • Exhibit thought-leadership and initiative in identifying content marketing opportunities


  • Translate insights into compelling long and short-form, digestible content
  • Create content strategy that aligns with BioLife Brand strategy, goals and KPIs
  • Oversee brand guideline development
  • Collaborate with agencies to ensure content strategy pull through and brand guideline adherence
  • Develop and manage segment and channel specific content: social media, SEO, CRM, video, print, in-center collateral
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to measure content effectiveness and identify alternate strategies and optimization opportunities
  • Develop tools and processes to ensure efficient implementation; e.g. content calendars
  • Engage in marketing operations, including approvals, job flow, review process, etc.
  • Design, create and manage organic social media campaigns, content and calendars
  • Monitor and moderate online reviews and social media platform comments
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on customer response activity and trends


Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

The ideal candidate will

  • Exhibit thought leadership for content strategy, user experience and social media
  • Strong understanding of digital and traditional content development best practices
  • In-depth knowledge of SEO principles, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, online reputation management and moderation tools



  • BS degree in English, Journalism, Public Relations, or related communications field (advanced degree preferred)
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint
  • Experience with design software a plus
  • Minimum 7 years experience in multi-channel content creation and execution (would prefer more years experience)


  • Think strategically and execute tactically
  • Lead initiatives and project manage multiple streams
  • Act as independent contributor and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Jump from creative to analytical side of marketing
  • Manage multiple projects of all sizes and complexity with ability to switch from one to the other seamlessly
  • Actively engage in day-to-day operations an execution
  • Be a self-starter who thrives on tackling new challenges in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
