As a Global Category Manager & Sourcing Lead, Digital Solutions & Innovation working on the Global Procurement team, you will be empowered to support a World Class Procurement Organization covering Information Technology coupled with Digital Enterprise Solutions, and a typical day will include:


  • Responsible for Takeda s Digital It Supplier andContract Management Engagements. Partners with Takeda s Digital Advisory Board to Define andAdjust Digital Solution Capabilities.
  • Lead andManage the Category Management andSourcing ofAll Takeda s Digital Tools andMethods (Including, But Not Limited To, Business Requirements Gathering andDefinition, Project Management, Roll-Out andOptimization).
  • Direct CollaborationandSupport withTakeda s Digital Enterprise Leader, While Also Supporting the Digital Advisory Board.
  • Provide Global Oversight ofInformation Technology and Digital Procurement Category.
  • Develop the Global Digital Related Category Management Strategies, Execute T hem And Deliver Against the Mid-Range Plan (MRP), Including Synergy Targets.


  • Identifies Digital Related Spend And Leverages Sourcing Opportunities Across All Major Business Units Within Takeda. Recommends Strategy andLeads Cross Company andCountry Sourcing Efforts.
  • Maintains anUnderstanding of the Digital & Innovation Category Trends and Changing Business Models Associated with a Broad Spectrum ofSoftware Assets that Directly Affect the Profitability of the Corporation.
  • Leads Digital andInnovation Industry Analysis, Interprets Information and Translates intoActionable Strategies.
  • Independently Manages All Sourcing Activities andMethodology Including Definition ofUser Requirements, Analyzing Spend andVendor Usage Patterns, Conducting Supply Market Analyses, Development of TheCategory Sourcing Strategy.
  • Oversees the Digital It Run Portfolio that Addresses Business and Technical Needs, Achieving Operational Stability andSecurity Targets.
  • Works Closely withBoth Internal andExternal Parties to Create Digital Sourcing Strategies.
  • Responsible for theOptimization of ITDigital Category Costs byEffectively Managing Assets.
  • Work withIT Management andFinance toSource, Review, Report and T rack It Digital Related Assets.
  • Develops the Digital Category Key Performance Indicators, Cost Savings Targets, And Metrics.
  • Evaluates Suppliers against those Requirements byEstablishing andMaintaining Contractual andBusiness Relationships withSuppliers; Monitor Contract Compliance.
  • Achieve Spend, Savings Cash Flow, Invoicing, And Payment Targets andKPIsWithin Category andSub -Categories.
  • Full Responsibility forSupporting theProcurement Information Technology Project Management Office (PMO), And Alignment with Takeda s Vendor Management Office (VMO).
  • Manages Supplier Performance Including Supplier Scorecards andContinuous Improvement Plans, In Collaboration with the Relevant Centers ofExcellence.
  • Proactively Initiates, Fosters, And Manages New and Existing Positive Relationships withMany Levels, Including Senior Level, Internal Customers, And Peers.
  • As Needed, this position will also support Enterprise & Regional Software Category Management & Procurement Needs.


  • BAorBS Required, Master s Degree Preferred.
  • Procurement Qualification (E.G. Ism, Ipmm Or Mcips) Valued.
  • 7+Years Working inBiotech/Pharma Industry, or other Highly Regulated Industries, with Progressive Leadership of Procurement.
  • Possess In-Depth Knowledge ofSupply Base andSourcing Business Practices.
  • Experience Working in A Complex Global Environment.
  • Exceptionally Skilled atBusiness Partnering andStakeholder Management.
