This person serves as a leader for key professional education activities for the PI Portfolio.

The scope of these responsibilities ranges from aligning strategic brand plans and initiatives to developing tactical execution for various types of professional education activities within PI.

The role requires an individual that can build relationships both in one s span of control, and through many disciplines, both internally and externally including but not limited to sales, marketing, competitive intelligence, compliance, medical, legal, regulatory, TL, and professional organizations. Strategic thinking and creative problem solving are essential for this person to be able to work both inside and outside the organization and to effectively be able to show results.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development of a nurses speaker bureau and the creation of tailored P2P program and measurement platform
  • Work with Professional education team to develop a cross-functional long-term congress strategy for Takeda in PI including national congresses and the Identification of key Regional Congresses that marketing should lead
  • Lead the execution of all PI national and prioritized regional congresses (partnering on some congresses with other immunology professional education leads)
  • Create a cross-functional PI TL Engagement plan that captures an understanding of TL interest areas, therapeutic area needs and planned activities
  • Continue to the raise the bar on the Best in Class experience of PI Ad Boards with TLs and patient customers
  • Be actively engaged on key strategic projects across the PI portfolio
  • Agency management and budget tracking for team spend and must be at +/- 5% of commitment on a quarterly basis (or cadence determined by finance)
  • Ensure that all compliance guidelines are instituted on each material developed and the appropriate process is followed without exception as noted in Takeda s Code of Ethics.
  • Accountable for the performance of the PI Portfolio in the US and delivering on the organizations expectations.


Job Function and Description


  • Work within the team to develop and finalize US professional education strategic plan to drive key tactics.
  • Lead the creation of a nurses speaker bureau and a P2P Program
  • Lead the execution of all PI national and regional congresses
  • Lead all TL engagements and ad board activities
  • Develop and deliver professional education marketing tactics, program plans, budget recommendations and agency directives.

Education and Experience Requirements


  • MS/BS/BA in science or business
  • Three to Six years progressive marketing experience with demonstrated record of success in driving brand performance


  • MBA is a plus
  • Experience in marketing positions at a commercial pharmaceutical organization.
  • Experience in a professional education role at a commercial pharmaceutical organization.
  • Experience with assigned product or therapeutic area as needed.
  • Experience within the Immunology and/or Rare disease space is a plus

This role is responsible for strategic marketing direction and informing all decisions regarding professional engagement, customer perspectives, consultation and advisory insight while optimizing budget and internal alignment, and developing talent within the organization. Decisions that directly affect the success of the US commercial organization.

Approximately 25-30% travel.
