As a Digital Value Lead working on the Digital Services, Emerging Technologies and Data team, you will be empowered to identify high value digital opportunities. In this role, you will contribute to Takeda s mission by delineating the role of emerging technologies and collaborating to define end to end digital solution delivery to enable realization of the digital opportunity. A typical day will include:


  • Work across corporate function and business units to identify high value digital opportunities
  • Collaborate to identify actionable metrics to validate the size of the opportunity, the needed investment for value realization and ROI
  • Provide reporting, analysis, and strategic recommendations based on actionable insights to senior management and other stakeholders across the organization
  • Validate feasibility by closely collaborating with IT and digital organizations
  • Delineate the role of emerging technologies and collaborating to define end to end digital solution delivery to enable realization of the digital opportunity


  • Conduct needs assessments, workshops to source emerging business needs that can be addressed by existing and emerging technologies
  • Develop use case specific digital opportunity validation exercises to assess value at stake, investment requirements and ROI
  • Developing valuation frameworks to drive a value oriented digital mindset globally
  • Assessing existing and new vendors with regards on impact, time commitment, delivery method and cost
  • Collaborate to assess the feasibility and strategic relevance of the proposed digital solution needed to address the business need
  • Perform due diligence to strategically align proposed digital solutions across business unit, functions to inform enterprise wide capability prioritization
  • Manage senior executive relationships across function and business units to secure buy-in for the proof of concept, piloting, execution and scaling of new technologies
  • Work with communications leads to identify the appropriate engagement model for internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform regular market scans to identify best-in-class solutions across technology service providers, start-ups and academic solutions that would be applicable new technologies
  • Collaborate with core IT, function and business leaders to align on the prioritization with regards to IT backbone readiness to service emerging technology platforms


  • 4-year Bachelor s degree (required)
  • Advanced STEM degree (MD, PhD) (preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of management consulting experience at a top-tier company (required)
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to reach audiences of all levels of a large global organization (required)
  • Comfortable leading multi-day workshops (required)
  • Business mindset coupled with intense intellectual curiosity (required)
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and to influence others to move toward common goals (required)
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations (required)
  • Demonstrated knowledge or interest in digital technologies (required)
  • Understanding of latest digital trends and direction of digital innovation (required)
  • Pharmaceutical experience consulting or industry (required)
  • Demonstrated experience in applying digital or analytics solutions in the pharmaceutical space and digital transformation (required)
  • Demonstrated experience in evaluating digital initiatives in terms of financial, strategic, communication and reputational value (required)
  • Demonstrated experience in performing analysis to secure stakeholder buy-in to drive go/no-go decisions
  • Demonstrated experience in taking a portfolio view of digital efforts across large enterprises to build strategic alignment and inform platform investment decisions(required)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint (required)
