Job Description


  • Manage day-to-day activity for HCP Engagements (US and/or Global)
  • Facilitate development of HCP contracts
  • Assist with development of SOPs, training tools, and business rules associated with HCP Engagements for Takeda personnel and vendors
  • Responsible for IT system enhancements per business needs


  • Primary point of contact for day-to-day operations including, but not limited to, activity approval, compliance queries, personnel or vendor inquiries, and reconciliation (when applicable)
  • Facilitate development of HCP contracts with Legal, based on concept approval, scopes of work (as applicable), and FMV
  • Maintain and update SOPs, training tools, and business rules to ensure compliance with Marketing, Legal, and Compliance Departments, and train/update Takeda personnel and vendors accordingly
  • Assist with development of HCPES and/or SBS system enhancements with IT/Commercial Operations, field/marketing personnel, and/or Compliance per business needs
  • Train Takeda personnel and vendors on HCPES (Healthcare Practitioner Engagement System)/SBS (Speaker Bureau System) systems and reconciliations
  • Audit and reconcile HCP Engagements for compliance, logistics, and financial accuracy
  • Represent Marketing Effectiveness team at Monthly Close (Compliance) Meeting
  • Support vendor management to ensure adherence to Takeda s Compliance guidelines for all activities
  • Provide cross-functional support to Marketing Effectiveness colleagues as needed/requested
  • Review HCPES database records for accuracy and compliance, and work with business owners to revise/update as needed
  • Support US and Global Marketing Teams using the HCPES and Cross Border Tool (CBT)
  • Liaise with LOCs for Engagements concept, venue, and HCP approval and obtain FMV (fair market value) using CBT for ex-US Engagements
  • Own database records and approvals within CBT


  • BS/BA (ideally in a business-, marketing-, or science-related concentration)
  • 3+ years experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech company
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical guidelines (eg, FDA, OIG, PhRMA Guidelines, Physician Sunshine Act)
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel)
  • High comfort level with database entry and software navigation
  • Ability to prioritize high-volume workload based on challenges and business needs, with minimal supervision, working with sense of urgency and efficiency
  • Strong verbal, written, and auditory communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with conflict management and successful negotiation
  • Proven proactive, collaborative leadership, with ability to identify challenges and provide solutions, working across multi-functional teams and all levels, including senior management
