POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Identify gaps and build solutions around procurement issues
  • Creation of shopping carts in SRM
  • Obtaining quotes for various studies/chemicals/lab supplies, etc.
  • Negotiate equipment service contracts
  • Expediting of purchase orders
  • Monitoring data in SAP
  • Effective cooperation with external & internal clients
  • Opportunities for process improvements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Undergraduate student in good academic standing with a focus in business, procurement, purchasing, finance or other related fields (second or third year students preferred)
  • Students must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • SAP knowledge is preferred
  • Strong command of MS Office, especially MS Excel
  • Accuracy and eye for detail
  • Stress resistance, discipline, dedication
  • Expected hours: 10 - 20 hours per week
  • Applicants must be highly motivated, self-starters with excellent oral and written communication.
