OBJECTIVES:

The GMBU Chief of Staff will provide operations, finance, project management, and process improvement leadership for GMBU. The Chief of Staff is responsible for keeping the Head, GMBU apprised of key initiatives, providing project oversight and management of cross functional and key initiatives, and ensuring appropriate coordination and management of budgets and integrated project plans for GMBU.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develops clear understanding of GMBU strategies and key priorities to provide operational leadership as member of the GMBU leadership team.
  • Demonstrates collaborative leadership and influence necessary to ensure alignment among key stakeholders and smooth execution of project deliverables.
  • Provides project management oversight for assigned GMBU projects.
  • Tracks project and initiative status and communicates to the GMBU Head and leadership.
  • Coordinates GMLT agendas.
  • Provides ongoing tracking and management of issues and risks related to implementation of GMBU initiatives and strategies with meaningful metrics and summary reports.
  • Works with Finance partners and GM leaders to ensure budget is effectively managed across GMBU.
  • Coordinates GMBU leadership and staff meetings and works with Chief of Staff, President USBU, to coordinate GMBU reporting and deliverables into the USBU Executive Team.
Qualifications

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Minimum BS/BA degree with MS/MBA preferred.
  • 10 years of relevant business experience required;
  • 6 years experience project management and leadership experience
  • 6 years of people and project leadership experienced
  • Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills
  • Expert project management skills
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Ability to influence without authority

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Takeda is a global company with corporate headquarters in Japan. Travel is a requirement of the position.
