Be responsible for designing and operationalizing patient strategy for a given brand/franchise. Focus on: developing key messages, defining brand positioning, and designing core tactics in order to inform patients and drive the business


  • Develops patient message architecture and positioning statement. Ensures alignment with overall brand strategy and patient initiatives
  • Partners with Analytics to distill insight, validate business opportunities, optimize marketing mix for patient and monitor ROI of individual tactics
  • Develops creative briefs/brand book; designs core consumer brand promotional assets (e.g., websites, education) and assures brand and MCM execution of messaging & strategy
  • Identifies critical design elements for initiatives/ promotions designed to drive desired patient behavior change
  • Makes strategic choices when prioritizing & commissioning tactics from hub; collaborates with Multi-Channel Marketing -Partners to utilize best practices
  • Develops creative briefs for agency involvement, before shifting execution responsibilities to the Hub
  • Responsible for partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to design and implement patient experience support programs (education, adherence, beyond the pill)
  • Manages patient ad boards & advocacy groups
  • Leverages brand insight to inform patient segmentation and channel mix preferences


  • Bachelors Degree
  • Healthcare related experience
  • At least 8 years experience with increasing responsibilities in sales, marketing or related function with 5 of the 8 years concentrated in marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team, positively influence coworkers toward common goals, foster collaboration, and enable teamwork; Ability to set priorities, develop roles and responsibilities, and manage staff. Ability to assess strengths and weaknesses of staff members and provide suggestions for improvement. Established leadership traits with an ability to mentor junior team members, collaborate effectively, and positively influence decisions
  • Deep understanding of the brand/franchise, the pharmaceutical industry, and how to effectively engage HCPs; ability to make sound business decisions by having a strong understanding about business, finance and risks/benefits of decisions
  • Extensive experience in marketing strategy and tactic design with an ability to communicate ideas to internal partners and external agencies; ability to clearly and succinctly communicate (verbally/written) in a persuasive and appropriate manner at the executive level
  • Capable of leveraging data and analytics to distill insights and drive data-based decision making
  • MBA
  • Experience in marketing positions at a commercial pharmaceutical organization.

  • Able to sit for long periods at a desk
  • Able to read and review large quantities of printed material or online material
  • Travel to internal and external meetings including overnights and weekends will be required, estimated up to 20% travel.
