Job Description Position Purpose:
Takes the lead to improve process quality within the department. The incumbent will work with the leadership group to identify areas for improvement, ensure audit readiness and share ideas and solutions with other departments and sites.

* Responsible for investigations involving departmental discrepancies: Non-conformities, Internal complaints, Customer complaints, Audits
* Lead and coach operations & quality area specialists in problem solving process issues
* Work with leadership team to find preventive actions to eliminate re-occurrence of problems
* Execute process confirmation of standards used on throughout the department and work with process team to find ideas to proactively improve the process
* Track and assess effectiveness of corrective / preventative actions to investigations
* Understands the process and products
* Closely interacts with all areas to improve the flow of information and products
* Perform other duties as required.

Education: BS/BA in technical field or industry equivalent experience

Experience: 5 years of manufacturing experience in a pharmaceutical environment
2 years of Aseptic Processing experience (Aseptic Processing Department only)

Technical/Process/Functional Knowledge:

* Experience using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and achieving sustainable process improvements
* Demonstrates knowledge of adult learning methodologies and is able to use multiple methods to train and coach others
* Excellent written communication skills, investigative writing, and computer skills (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SAP and novoLIMS)
* Demonstrated experience in practical problem solving and process improvement methods

Organization/Planning: Ability to manage multiple tasks/deadlines and prioritize properly based on process needs. Demonstrated effectiveness in systematic follow-up

Physical Requirements and other requirements:
* Ability to attain clean room gowning certification and work with hazardous materials including sanitants (AP)
* Ability to work hours necessary to support shift production
* Ability to travel internationally
* Must be able to achieve core gown certification (AP)
