Novo Nordisk is currently building a new diabetes API plant in Clayton, NC next to our existing facility that employs 800 people. The new plant will initially employ 700 employees to produce the active ingredients for a new diabetes oral treatment and a range of other diabetes drugs.

Here you will work with the best manufacturing professionals in the industry, while learning and taking part in the plant design.

Position Purpose: Administrative Assistant in carrying out clerical, administrative & process support. Assists the director and/or department leadership team in scheduling, meeting logistics, travel coordination, presentation development & KPI tracking

Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
Assist in the collection, entry, tracking, & reporting of KPIs.
Assist with completion of projects or non-conformities requiring data processing, filing, collection of data, etc.
Manage calendar activity for the director by resolving conflicting demands, scheduling internal/external meetings, coordinate meeting logistics, set up meetings, prepare agendas and arrange travels.
Assist Project Managers with meeting minutes and other reporting.
Serve as ISOtrain, SharePoint, InfoCenter Board, GlobeShare coordinator.
Coordinate & assist in the updating of SOPs and other documents.
Creating & updating PowerPoint presentations.
Setting up & maintaining filing system for documentation in accordance with 5S principles.
Order & maintain supplies needed to support the area.
Administrative support to the team as required.
Other accountabilities as assigned.

High School Diploma
AA/AS/AAS degree or courses in business, office administration, or related field.

5 or more years as an Administrative Assistant or Production Coordinator.

Technical/Process/Functional Knowledge:
Ability to read/write/understand complicated production & GMP documentation.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Written & verbal communication skills to allow interaction will all levels of operations & management.

Physical & Other Requirements:
Ability to work in & around an active construction site during project phase.
Ability to move throughout the facility in the performance of duties in proximity to process equipment & process areas.
Ability to lift 25 lbs. with assistance.
Ability to work flexible hours, on occasion, to support 24/7 operations.
