Novartis Oncology is recruiting for Key Account Manager/Sr. Key Account Manager in Southern CA.

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for the following:
Responsible for delivering market access for Novartis Oncology portfolio products by executing on brand strategies with regional health plan
Establish Novartis Oncology as the business partner of choice with regional health plan and assigned medical centers
Develop clear understanding of formulary process and formulary status for our Oncology brands
Develop opportunities and pull-through initiatives for short- and long-term growth
Build key business relationships with senior level personnel, pharmacists, medical directors, department managers, and Oncologists/Hematologists to network across the organization and collaborate on key initiatives
Collaborate with Strategic Market Access, PS&A, and HCSAM Marketing to create and or deliver value driven initiatives and resources with regional customers
Provide clinical data to regional decision makers and stakeholders
Product launch readiness and implementation
Support Novartis portfolio growth
Provide clinical data to medical center decision makers
Create and implement strategic business plans for region and individual medical centers
Lead and collaborate with NPC Oncology field colleagues to develop and implement educational speaker programs for customers
Develops and engages with regional Medical KOLS, pharmacy management, P&T members and other stakeholders on both business and clinical needs

Collaborate across teams and organization ensure appropriate communication and transparency of all account related activities and actions to internal and external customers
Implements customer programs
Sustains long-term customer relationships including senior leadership with regional account and medical centers, based on understanding of the customer organization, structure, business strategy and priorities
Identifies opportunities to introduce, if appropriate, forums, programs for customers, prescribers, pharmacists, nursing and other customers in call audience
Identifies and delivers on market relevant programing assigned to activate customers to improve patient outcomes
Is responsible for contract pull-through in regional health plan
Builds the Account Management Organization
Acts as business partner to Sales Specialists, Account Managers and Area
Sales Leaders by sharing best practices, account plan development and execution and knowledge of product/disease states, customer segments,
Communicates customer insights and Account-related activities to internal stakeholders, and engages with them to pursue business opportunities within assigned Accounts.
Proactively creates and drives changes by identifying key business opportunities at the regional level to improve performance efficiency.

Position will be filled commensurate with experience.
A minimum of 3 years of successful exp. in pharmaceutical, biologic / biotech industry.
A minimum of 3 years working within institution setting, IDNs and/or key account management. Experience working with Medical Directors, Technology Directors, Quality Assurance, Reimbursement Directors, Pharmacy Director. Reimbursement preferred. Understanding of specialty pharmacy, channels, 340B Institutions, formulary process and payers. Demonstrated track record of working in cross-functional teams. Demonstrated competencies in the following areas: Strong leadership, innovation and results oriented, account management, negotiations skills, communication skills (verbal, written & presentation skills), business acumen, computer skills, ability to manage financial resources.
