The Associate Director, Medical Conference and Digital Strategy will drive strategic planning and execution of medical communications including Congress and Digital activities.

Lead and develop, with the medical team, highly impactful medical communication strategy for pre-launch and post-launch activities in the Neuroscience and Ophthalmology therapeutic areas
Collaborate closely across multi-disciplinary teams (eg publications, medical, field medical excellence, commercial and global colleagues) to ensure alignment and maximization of MedComms activities in support of medical strategy.
Lead the Medical Communications Working Groups of cross-functional team members to support effective planning and execution of medical communication deliverables.
Implement innovative and impactful medical communication tactics working closely with Digital teams and in compliance with Novartis policies and faciltate best-practice sharing.
Engage with Medical Experts to support Medical Education initiatives to fill educational gaps.
Support vendor management and selection for Medical Communication activities in line with Novartis policies
Support budget planning and serve as business lead in vendor negotiation and management to ensure productivity, cost-savings and timely execution, full leverage of synergies across Neuroscience and Ophthalmology portfolios, and target budgets
Facilitate consistency of communications across functions
Key member of Neuroscience and Ophthalmology MPTs collaborating closely with MPT Heads and Head of Medical Strategy to ensure strategic and operational medical communication excellence.

Bachelor s degree in life science/healthcare or equivalent experience accompanied with > 6 years pharmaceutical industry, with primary focus on medical communications.
