The World Wide Market Access Director will drive Market Access strategy development and execution for Brolacizumab pre and post launch.
The World Wide Market Access Director will be responsible for the following:
Develop a global integrated Patient-centric Access & Payer strategy for Brolacizumab aimed at delivering the product differentiation most relevant to payers (e.g. target patient population, clinical end-points, clinical comparators, outcome measures, utility instruments, Health Economics data, etc.)
Ensure that at launch, Novartis brands are supported by a robust value proposition including 3 core elements - Value and outcomes story, strong evidence package and a pricing strategy maximizing the life-time value of the brand (including existing and future evidence to justify and maintain price)
Lead a cross-functional Value & Access Team (V&AT) and ensure close alignment between insights into payer evidence needs, plans to generate evidence (clinical, HEOR, etc.) to support payer value proposition and pricing strategy
Represent Patient Access & Payer perspective on the Global Brand Teams (GBT)
Be accountable for the Patient Access & Payer perspective being appropriately reflected (integrated) in the overarching product development, medical affairs and commercial strategy
Together with CPO Market Access, represent Novartis to the payer/HTA community and in turn articulate payer needs/preferences to Novartis (across the decision making forums and teams FLT, GBT, GPT and V&AT)
Drive and coordinate all global activities related to payers
Co-create Patient Access strategy with key CPOs
Provide Market Access & Pricing input in BD&L activities

A Bachelor's degree is required; a Postgraduate degree in medicine, sciences, business administration health policy, health economic or other relevant qualification is highly preferred
A minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience acquired at pharmaceutical companies, HTA, physician associations or health care consultancy companies is required.
Deep understanding of payer/HTA environment and evolution across countries/regions (especially US and EU)
US and European market experience and understanding is required.
This position will require approximately 60% travel
Ability to work and lead (a cross-functional team) in a matrix environment
Ability to communicate effectively and motivate team alongside having a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of organization
Strong process/project management skills
Excellent analytical skills and ability to draw insights/derive viable strategic options for payers that offer opportunities to align cross-functionally to deliver superior value from the analytical research
Preferred: Knowledge of the disease areas within the Business Franchise, with strong leadership and communication skills and an ability to translate analytic skill into strategic vision of relevance to payers
